Junior Frontend Developer

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Junior Frontend Developer to join our team. In this role, you'll write clean, well-optimized code and contribute to game development. You'll collaborate closely with Backend Developers, Designers and Testers to create visually appealing animations and effects while learning and applying best engineering practices.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and validating outsourced games to ensure they meet company standards for quality, performance, and user experience.
• Fixing and refining gameplay mechanics, user interfaces, and performance issues in games developed by external teams.
• Collaborating with backend developers, designers, and QA specialists to improve and polish game features and functionality.
• Optimizing and implementing reskins of existing games to fit new themes and branding requirements.
• Ensuring consistent quality and performance across multiple platforms by testing and troubleshooting frontend-related issues.
• Contributing to the improvement of outsourced games through creative input and technical expertise.
• Creating new game features to enhance user experience and gameplay.
• Making improvements and adjustments to the existing game engine to optimize performance and functionality.

Requirements:

• 1.5+ years of experience in development (including JavaScript/TypeScript);
• Experience with Pixi.js/Phaser or other js game engines;
• Work with Jira, Git;
• Knowledge of OOP and Design Patterns;
• Ability to write clean code which is easy to maintain;
• Have an eye for detail and an intuition for tasteful, elegant, smooth visual effects;
• Background in game development, visually rich applications or the advertisement industry;
• Language proficiency: Russian - Advanced, English - Intermediate and higher.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of any other OO language;
• Knowledge of Canvas or WebGL;
• Knowledge of basics of Game Loop.
