Role overview:

This role sits at the intersection of Art and Frontend. The person in this position will take materials prepared by artists and animators, adjust them when needed, and turn them into ready-to-use game content for our internal editor and runtime.

The main goal of the role is to prepare and integrate 2D assets, assemble basic scenes, popups, states, and simple animations without making changes to feature code. If a task requires code changes, the Tech Designer hands it over to a frontend developer and continues the work once the required changes are implemented.

This role helps speed up game content production, reduces the load on the frontend team, and supports stable, high-quality visual integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the company’s internal editor to assemble, configure, and maintain game content;
  • Prepare, import, and integrate graphic assets into the project;
  • Make basic adjustments to source files prepared by the art team when needed;
  • Assemble basic scenes, popups, visual states, and simple animations without writing code;
  • Work with Spine: check setup, export animations, and make small fixes or optimizations to finished animations when necessary;
  • Use Photoshop for preparing, exporting, optimizing, and adjusting assets;
  • Check how content works both in the editor and in runtime;
  • Identify and fix visual, technical, and pipeline-related issues in content;
  • Collaborate with artists, animators, PMs, frontend developers, and QA;
  • Escalate tasks to developers when something cannot be completed without code changes, then continue once the blocker is resolved;
  • Work with Git as part of the established workflow;
  • Contribute to improving the workflow for content preparation and integration.

Requirements:

  • Experience in game development or a related field in a role connected to preparing, integrating, or assembling 2D content;
  • Hands-on experience working with graphic assets and integrating them into a project;
  • Strong Photoshop skills;
  • Practical experience with Spine: export, basic setup, understanding of project structure, ability to check animations and make small fixes when needed;
  • Understanding of the graphics and animation pipeline, from source files to final content in an editor or engine;
  • Understanding of basic asset optimization principles and why lightweight content matters;
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot both visual and technical issues;
  • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with different specialists;
  • Willingness to learn internal tools and adapt to custom workflows;
  • Language proficiency: Russian — Advanced, English — Pre-Intermediate or higher.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with internal editors, proprietary engines, or custom tools;
  • Experience with Unity or similar editors / engines;
  • Basic understanding of HTML5 / browser project limitations;
  • Understanding of atlas, spritesheet, and export settings workflows;
  • Understanding of how visual content connects to logic, states, and interactive elements;
  • Experience testing content in a runtime environment;
  • Experience working on game projects in any genre, as long as the tools and tasks are relevant.

Work conditions:

  • Work where it suits you: from home, the office, or a mix of both;
  • 100% paid vacation and sick days, plus extra days off;
  • Medical insurance and mental health support;
  • BCoins for internal rewards and fun perks;
  • Budget for professional development, certifications, and language courses (English and Polish);
  • Hackathons, team events, and legendary parties;
  • Kids’ camp for BGamers’ families;
  • Referral program with real rewards.
