We learned all about Ancient Egypt in school, read books, and watched movies, and it always has a way of sparking our imagination. We’re well-acquainted with characters from the myths as the gods Ra, Isis, and Horus, but what do we know about the cat goddess? Will she make your wishes come 1? Let’s find out together!
The brand new slot, Book Of Cats, is here and has a lot to offer. We invite you to be a part of the greatest festival held in honor of the goddess Bastet, the festival of love, passion, and kudos to life and fertility. We’re not here to give a history lesson on Egyptology, but since our goddess is at the heart of the story, we would like to bring you up to speed.
Egyptian deities are filled with all sorts of fantastic creatures, but one deity stands out throughout history: the cat goddess Bastet, who was one of the most prominent figures in Egypt. She is the patron of the sun, the moon, women, and secrets. As the daughter of the sun god Ra, she was considered all-seeing and even served in his guard. Although she was sensual and feminine, no one could call her weak, as she had two sides to her personality: tender and aggressive. Her vicious nature was evident in the accounts of battles, where she was said to have slaughtered enemies. Powerful Bastet was a central part of everyday Egyptian life and society, integrated into all aspects of their culture.
We can’t help but mention the significance of cats in the slot’s story. Egyptians worshipped them, and we agree that they embody the otherworldly power on Earth.
In our slot, Bastet will reveal the brightest part of her soul, sharing her wisdom and riches as she turns the pages of the magical Golden Book.
