Role Overview
As a Game Mathematician, you will play a key role in designing and developing mathematical models for our casino games. You will collaborate with various teams throughout the game development cycle, ensuring mathematical correctness, engaging mechanics, and optimized player experiences. Your work will directly impact the success of our games by balancing probability, player psychology, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mathematical models for slot games and other casino games, ensuring alignment with game mechanics and player engagement strategies.
- Work closely with Product Owners to define the mechanics of new casino games, contributing innovative and mathematically sound solutions.
- Reverse-engineer and analyze math models of existing games on the market to identify industry trends and areas for innovation.
- Create computer simulations to validate game performance and optimize key mathematical parameters.
- Verify the mathematical correctness of game implementations by collaborating with developers and QA teams.
- Playtest and fine-tune games in development alongside other team members to ensure optimal balance and player experience.
- Analyze historical gameplay data, provide insights based on statistical modeling, and supervise future analyses for game optimization.
Requirements
- A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong expertise in combinatorics, probability theory, and statistical modeling.
- Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language such as C, C++, or C#.
- Experience with Git.
- Advanced Excel skills for modeling and analysis.
- Experience in designing and developing slot games and table games.
- Ability to conduct quantitative analysis and work with large datasets.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for games and an understanding of player psychology and engagement mechanics.
