BGaming and Cream Team’s latest collaboration, called Sweet Samurai, reimagines the #Classic fruit-themed slot concept as asymmetric Ways Pays on a unique 3×4×3×4×3 grid. In the demo, you’ll notice the absence of traditional paylines, bringing the max multiplier all the way to ×4,500.
Sweet Samurai takes place in a dojo where the Broccoli Samurai is diligently training his zen state. However, his tranquility is short-lived as hordes of laughing fruits are constantly swarming around his training hall.
Ways Pays is a different approach to wins that only requires the same symbols to appear in adjacent reels from left to right. They don’t have to form a line, and the game allows several simultaneous combos to occur on a 3×4×3×4×3 board. Hitting multiple combos also triggers the Win Slice animation, during which Broccoli Samurai jumps on the board and either starts to slash furiously or goes into a full blade storm mode.
Should the board get flooded with Golden Pineapples — highest-paying symbols — the multiplier may reach the impressive value of ×4,500.
The inspiration clearly came from the original classic fruit machines, but we also wanted to incorporate some of the modern design philosophies that don’t rely on traditional paylines. That’s how we landed on Ways Pays: we wanted matching combinations to be possible all over the place, and we wanted our protagonist to take in the energy of that moment when several combos are chained together. That’s why he goes berserk and starts slicing.
